Nasi Lemak Burger

Everyone heard of Nasi Lemak before; but have you heard of Nasi Lemak Burger? That's it, it is also my first time see this on any restaurant's menu for the first time today! I thought, are they selling Nasi Lemak with a burger? I was wrong, it is actually a burger with all the ingredients of Nasi Lemak within the two pieces of bun minus the Nasi or rice!

There is crunchy deep fried chicken, anchovies, peanut, egg and cucumber. The chicken in particular is my favourite as I just love fried chicken! Very crunchy and yet juicy!

Since there is no rice at all, shouldn't it be renamed Burger Lemak?

Compare it with the normal Nasi Lemak shown in picture below (also from the same restaurant).

Nasi Lemak Burger can be found at Valencia Cafe, Doncaster East, Melbourne.

Mamak Melbourne

In Malaysia, there is this Mamak culture where people hang out late at night to have some Roti Canai and Teh Tarik with a group of friends. It is one of the most preferred places to socialize. Most in Malaysia open until late at night and are especially popular among clubbers.

In Australia, there is this franchise restaurants called Mamak selling those favourite irresistible Malaysian cuisine. However, it is purely a restaurant in Australia and it does not open through midnight like its Malaysian counterpart.

The all time favourite - Roti Canai

My personal favourite - Ayam Berempah

Fish & Burger Co

Fish & Burger Co. or F & B Co. in short is arguably the restaurant which has the best burger in Melbourne!

Triple X - as the name suggests; it is big enough to serve 3 people for just $17.50!!!

My all time favourite is the Triple X - 2 x 150g Grass fed brisket patties, 3 x American cheddar, 3 x bacon, lettuce, Spanish onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard & mayo. It is common to hear that chocolate melts in your mouth, but this burger will definitely melt in your mouth! It is so juicy with flavours that you can't seem to have enough of it!

Grilled salt & lemon pepper calamari. Seasoned & tossed through the unique lemon pepper mix. Served with lemon, tartare & two sides.

F & B Co. is located in Doncaster East, Melbourne, Australia.

Siam Road Char Koay Teow

Charcoal fired Char Koay Teow - Extremely popular among the locals; long queue next to busy traffic; a scene can never be found in any Western countries.

Char Koay Teow is one of the must have street hawker for anyone visiting Penang. It is basically fried flat noodles with eggs, lard, garlic chives, Chinese sausage, shrimps and cockles. These are all stir-fried together in a wok to create a magical mixture of taste that will definitely satisfy the most demanding customer.
